Microphone audio

Microphone access starts only after you press Start microphone and grant browser permission. Audio is processed locally using browser APIs. Test recordings remain in this tab’s memory; they are not uploaded to Miccheck. Stop capture with Stop mic. Capture also stops when the page is hidden. Delete a sample with Delete recording or leave the page to discard it.

Anonymous usage counts

We count tool-page openings and successful actions to understand whether this free tool is useful. Only the UTC date, a fixed event name, a broad source category (search, external link, or direct/unknown), and a total count are stored in the site's database. Counts are aggregated; we do not assign visitor identifiers, use analytics cookies, or store IP addresses, full referring URLs, microphone audio, time entries, pay rates, or exported files in this database.

Each action type is counted at most once per open page. Reloads can count again. Daily aggregate counts are retained to compare usage over time. The site owner can see totals; visitors cannot access the statistics screen.

Counting is skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also turn it off here. This stores only an opt-out preference in this browser; it is not an identifier. Reload any other open tabs for a changed preference to take effect.

Hosting and connection data

The hosting provider receives ordinary page and count requests and may process IP addresses, user agents, timestamps, and security logs under its own policies. The public tool does not require login. The site and aggregate database are hosted by Cloudflare. The owner's statistics screen requires a private access key and uses a secure session cookie solely for owner authentication. Tool inputs are not included in counting requests.

Advertising and third-party services

This version has no advertising scripts, third-party analytics services, or external fonts. No advertising data is collected by the application.

Your choices

Revoke microphone access in your browser settings. Stop mic releases the audio input. Delete recording removes the sample from this tab.
